Local government and documentary work

Closer to home, we've produced public service video for the City of Dearborn, including COVID-19 public health messaging, and video work for Wayne County.

Mohammed also filmed documentary work featured by National Geographic in Remembering Lives Lost: COVID's Toll, a 2020 video of testimonies from families in three hard-hit U.S. communities, and is credited by name. Sensitive public-interest stories need care on camera, and that's the standard we bring to agency work.

Accessibility and 508-friendly deliverables

Agency video often has to meet Section 508 and WCAG requirements before it can go live. We offer:

Accurate closed captions delivered as SRT or WebVTT files, plus open-caption (burned-in) versions
Full text transcripts
On-screen text and graphics with readable size and contrast
English and Arabic caption and subtitle files, with other languages available

We build these into the schedule, not bolt them on at the end. Your agency's accessibility office has final say on compliance, and we're glad to work to their checklist.

Our process

Scoping. We review the statement of work or project brief, the audience, the review chain, and any accessibility or branding standards.
Pre-production. Scripts, shot lists, interview questions, location scouting, and releases. We plan around security, access, and approval requirements at your facility.
Production. Camera, lighting, audio, teleprompter, and aerial footage where appropriate and permitted.
Post-production. Editing, color, sound mix, motion graphics, captions, and transcripts, with review rounds that match your approval process.
Delivery and archive. Final files in the formats you specify, with organized project media if your contract calls for it.

Deliverables and turnaround

Projects are scoped individually, so we quote after reviewing your requirements rather than listing set prices. Common deliverables include web and social masters, vertical and square cutdowns, caption files, transcripts, photo galleries, and raw footage or B-roll packages. For events we can turn around a short recap quickly after the event, with longer edits following on an agreed schedule. We'll give you a firm timeline in the proposal.
